Providing all the warmth, beauty and durability of oak and a contemporary look too, Floor & More supply and fit 90mm to 210mm wide, 21mm thick, kiln dried oak floor boards at competitive prices. We can also supply a 14mm overlay board to go on existing floors. All boards are tongue and grooved, ends matched and left unprepared ready to treat to a finish of your choice. Hornbeam & Elm are two increasingly popular alternatives (see the pictures on our gallery page). Hornbeam (or Ironwood) is ideal for potentially more hostile environments such as bathrooms. Compare our real wood price with some wood laminates & you will be surprised! Also gorgeous handmade Oak Products (see the separate web page on this site) ~ candle holders & coat racks etc., made to order.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Can you lay the boards directly onto concrete?
A: Yes, although we recommend applying an epoxy resin membrane before hand. Floor & More will always carry out a simple survey with a damp meter to ensure there are no underlying problems.

Q: Can you use wooden flooring in kitchens and bathrooms?
A: Yes, as long as you do not allow moisture to remain on the floor. All marks and spillages can be wiped off immediately using a damp cloth.

Q: Is the wood supplied ready-sealed?
A: No. We will advise you of the different finishes that are available and if we are quoting for fitting, we will give you a price that includes the finish of your choice.

Q: Do you provide a sanding service for existing floors?
A: Yes. It is a lot harder work than it looks! Give us a call and we will come and have a look.

Q: Do you have a brochure and a showroom?
A: No. This website is our brochure and we have a couple of floors in local 'public' spaces - have a look in Bathroom Boutique in Gore Road, New Milton and Habit Boutique, 14 Castle Street, Christchurch.
